On reach the international airport in Entebbe, you will be gladly received by a delegate from Uganda Safaris who will drive you to your hotel. Dine and slumber at Namirembe Guest House, or Le petit Hotel or Cassia Lodge.

Following a hefty breakfast you will proceed to Jinja found in Eastern Uganda making a stopover at Mabira forest plus Ssezibwa Falls before arriving at the Source of River Nile and Bujjagali Falls,
OR spend the entire day white-water rafting. Dine and slumber at 2Friends Guest House, or Jinja Nile Resort, or at Gately on the Nile.

From Jinja you will drive on to Sipi Falls driving through Mbale which is an attractive town found at the bottom of Mt. Elgon. Mbale town is famous for its undying culture of circumcision which is held every leap year. From there we shall continue to the Sipi Village locates high in the mountains close to the waterfalls. Dine and slumber at Lacam Lodge or at Sipi River Lodge.

On having breakfast, you will set out hiking to the splendid Sipi Falls which are in a series of 3 cascading falls. You will pleasure in a very relaxing walk to the foot of the falls found at the rim of Mt. Elgon and also visit some of the mountain caves before proceeding through various plantations and bandas. Following lunch unwind for a while and later visit the coffee project in Sipi as you interact with the local farmers. Dine and slumber at Lacam Lodge or at Sipi River Lodge.

Today after having breakfast you will go hiking the Kapkwata Trail to Piswa Camp found at 2850 m high as you walk through the scenic view of heath, bamboo plus moorland. Slumber at Piswa Camp Site.

After having breakfast, you will ascend to the border of the calderas going through the beautiful lines of Lobelia Elgonensis, past the Hot Springs as well as the Suam Gorge towards the breathtaking scenery ideal for Uganda safari photographs before descending to 3850 meters to the Hunters Cave camp where you will slumber for the night.

Enjoy breakfast before hiking to the caldera and later to Wagagai Summit at 4321 meters which is the highest summit on Mt. Elgon. You will descend the mountain past Jackson’s summit as well as the Jackson pool to slumber at Mude Camp which is 3500m.

Continue to the Sasa trail heading ti Budadiri where you will visit the stunning Numagabwe Cave that is much decorated by old rock paintings and is situated just 3 kilometers away, before returning to Kampala. Dine and slumber at Namirembe Guest House, or Le petit Hotel, or Cassia Lodge.

Is Uganda safe?
Uganda is one of the safest and most welcoming countries in Africa especially for visitors to the country more so if visitors follow certain security and safety guidelines. Rarely do you hear about security risks for tourists or accidents. The Uganda government ensures maximum security for tourists in the country and also for its citizens, these ranging from traffic police to national park police for all national parks in the county. Uganda is safe, but just like any country, you need to keep away from trouble and keep your self safe.
Dressing code for gorilla tracking
Mountain gorilla trekking adventure can be wet and hot work. Hence the need to carry both a waterproof jackets and a backpack to hold essentials like binoculars and cameras. Trekking can some times be through thick vegetation with thorns and climbing steep terrain. It’s advised to have good hiking shoes, long trousers, long sleeved shirts, sun cream, sun glasses, gloves, walking stick and a hat.
How long in advance do I need to book my safari?
Your safari will most probably include gorilla and chimpanzee trekking. Both activities are in high demand!
For the scheduled safaris (camping and lodge) we buy the permits more than a year in advance. This means that when booking a scheduled safari your gorilla and chimpanzee permits are guaranteed! Scheduled safaris are not necessary small group safaris, we organize them also for private safaris.

If you can’t take one of our scheduled safaris we recommend that you book in time to avoid disappointment. When booking for the high season (Dec/Jan/Feb and July/August/September) it might be necessary to book at least 6 months in advance. Please note that gorilla and chimpanzee permits need to be booked and paid for at the same time!
What’s the climate like in the Country
Uganda experiences an equatorial climate comprising of both dry and wet seasons through out the year. All travelers should be aware of the Climate Dynamics around the country to know when to travel to do a certain safari adventure and when not to. Due to the rains that fall almost anytime in the country, we advise travelers to carry essential gear like the Rain Jacket to enjoy the Best.
